Kid's meals should come with healthy foods, not toys → good.is

American kids are fat. According to Ken Yeager, President of the Santa Clara Country Board of Supervisors, nearly one in four children in Santa Clara County is overweight or obese. “In certain ethnic populations,” he says, “its one in three.” Obesity has become a national security risk, too: We have supersized a generation of kids to the point that our military is unsure if we’ll have enough soldiers who are fit enough to fight. Even more shocking, parents across the nation are learning that, for the first time in U.S. history, their children are expected to live shorter lives than they did. (excerpt)

Thought I Saw Your Face Today She & Him

Interesting sound, feels like it could be part of the 500 Days of Summer soundtrack. I like the timbre in the girl’s voice.

Wait Up (Boots of Danger) Tokyo Police Club

I heard Tokyo Police Club on the Peak fm100.5 a while ago, I like their sound. They’re from Ontario, Canada. Another song I like is Breakneck Speed.

This Is Good Hannah Georgas

Released last month, written/performed by Hannah Georgas, local indie artist from Vancouver. She got a similar sound to Tegan & Sara but less annoying. :) yay! The other songs on her myspace playlist are pretty good too.
